Medlink Pharma Phils., Inc. was conceived by the entrepreneurial spirit of its key officers who have extensive experience in pharmaceutical selling and marketing. With a vision to be of service to the health needs of Filipino people by making available high quality and affordable ethical medicines, Medlink was established and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 28, 2003. Actual selling and field operations started in November, 2003. The key operational officers of Medlink are:
Villamor A. Cando
President
Mr. Cando was formerly an employee of 16 years of Boehringer Ingelheim, Phils., Inc. a multinational pharmaceutical company from Germany. He was the Group Product Manager of the company when he opted for early retirement. Prior to his founding of Medlink Pharma Phils., Inc., he established and was the president for 7 years of Prohealth Pharma Phils., Inc. which grew to become one of the more admired and recognized Filipino pharmaceutical company. He subsequently divested his shares to lead and manage the growth of Medlink.
Alejo R. Zarza
Vice President-Sales
Mr. Zarza was formerly an employee of 23 years, also of Boehringer Ingelheim, Phils., Inc. He was the company’s National Sales Manager when he opted for early retirement to lead and manage the sales operations of Medlink Pharma Phils., Inc. Through his leadership, Medlink is well on its way of achieving its vision of P100 mio sales volume by year 5 of operations.
